Rashmika’s Tamil Debut Ends Up As A Disappointment

Published by

Rashmika Mandanna is ruling both Telugu and Kannada film industries by acting in big-budget films. She also tried to expand her base in Tamil cinema and made a grand entry into Kollywood with the last week’s release Sulthan. Directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, this movie featured Karthi as the lead hero. Even though Sulthan released amid huge hype, it remained a failure at the box office. With this, the actress’ hopes went for a toss.

First of all, Rashmika didn’t have much of a role in this commercial potboiler. She was just confined to some romantic scenes and songs. If the movie became a hit, she would have had a great launch but it ended up a flop and remained a disappointment for the Chalo actress. Rashmika pinned many hopes on this prestigious project but she met a disappointment in the end. The actress is yet to sign her next Tamil film.

Rashmika is also making her debut in Bollywood this year. She is currently acting in two Hindi films, Mission Majnu and Goodbye. In Telugu, she is acting in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa which will have a pan-India release. If she realizes that it is important to do meaningful roles at this point in time in her career, she will have a longer survival in Kollywood. Else, her career might end even before it takes off.
