Power Star Pawan Kalyan is on a spree of signing new films. Already, his new film Vakeel Saab had hit the theatres last Friday. This movie marked the comeback of Pawan into films after a gap of more than three years. He spoke in the Telangana accent in this movie. It looks like a conscious decision to have Pawan Kalyan speak in a Telangana accent. The director Venu Sriram who hails from the Karimnagar district of Telangana has put extra effort into making sure Pawan delivers his lines properly in a Telangana accent.
If we look at his upcoming films, Pawan will be speaking in different slangs in those flicks too.
Pawan is currently shooting for the Telugu remake of Malayalam hit Ayyappanum Koshiyum. If the latest sources are anything to go by, the film is set in the backdrop of the Rayalaseema region and Pawan will be speaking in Seema dialect in that movie. Directed by Saagar Chandra, this movie features Rana Daggubati as the other lead hero. Trivikram Srinivas is providing the screenplay and dialogues for the film and there are rumors that writer-lyricist Penchal Das is helping out the team in getting the Rayalaseema accent correct.
Apart from this film, Pawan is also acting in Hari Hari Veera Mallu, which is being directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. This is a period drama set in the backdrop of the Mughal era. We hear that Pawan will be speaking in ancient Telugu (Grandhikam) in this movie, to suit the time it has set in.
After that, for Harish Shankar’s film, Pawan will be delivering lines in the regular Telugu language. Thus, Power Star is going to entertain us with various dialects in his upcoming films. It is indeed a tough task for any actor to change the slang and modulation from film to film but we hope Pawan aces it in the upcoming films.
