Ram Gopal Varma knows best to cash in on a tragedy or pandemic. He optimally uses any opportunity and turns it into his advantage. Ramu is once again gearing up to release his film in theatres and it is a horror-movie. The film with Rajasekhar as the protagonist is going to see the light of the day after a long hiatus.
Originally called Patta Pagalu, the film has been rechristened as Deyyam. And Deyyam is all set to hit the screens on 16th April. This is in substitute to Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s Love Story which had initially planned to release that day. With no films clashing at the marquee, Deyyam is said to be getting a wide release. The makers are confident that the film would pull it off given that it is made on a limited budget.
Interestingly, Bigg Boss Telugu Season 4’s wild card entry Swathi Deekshith is doing a full-length role. Swathi will be seen as Rajasekhar’s daughter in the film. The recently released trailer seems promising. As horror is Ramu’s forte, he seems to have explored a different point this time around. Let’s wait and watch, what is in store for Deyyam. Natti Kumar is bankrolling the film and the film is being released in 5 languages.
