The third film that came in their combination released last year during Sankranthi. The audio album of the film scored by Thaman brought much-needed attention to the movie. The audio album created a new record now with 2 billion views on Youtube. It is a first-of-its-kind feat in the South Cinema industry.
‘Samajavaragamana’ is the first single that came on Youtube. The film unit came up with a unique video where the singer, composer, and their team performed the song. After that, all the other songs that followed also created a sensation. Especially, ‘Butta Bomma’ created a rage on the internet, with Bollywood celebrities grooving for the same. Aditya Music label grabbed the film’s audio rights and promoted it so well.
Crossing 2 billion views on Youtube is certainly a big achievement these days, at a time when the audio album is available on multiple streaming platforms. If not for the craze of Allu Arjun and Thaman, the audio album would not have witnessed this wide reach.
Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo already created a new record by becoming the first Indian feature film soundtrack to have more than 1 billion views on YouTube. On YouTube’s Top 10 Indian Music Videos, “Butta Bomma” and “Ramuloo Ramulaa” became the only South Indian songs that have been listed in 2020.
Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry, Srimani, Kasarla Shyam, Krishna Chaitanya, Ramajogaiah Sastry, Kalyan Chakravarthy, and Vijay Kumar Bhalla are the film’s lyricists.
Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde played the lead roles in the film. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film is produced by Haarika & Hassinee Creatins banner. Tabu, Jayaram, Sushanth, Nivetha Pethuraj, Harshavardhan, Sunil, Samuthrakhani, and others acted in the movie.
