Despite lacking a competition at the BO, Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab has bogged down to the Covid-19 pandemic as the film’s collections have tumbled and they haven’t seen a growth. Dashing the hopes of the buyers and distributors, the film has a long way to go to touch the break-even mark.
The Friday and Saturday figures in the Telugu states were not impressive at all, say the trade sources. With the second wave of Covid is pretty strong and the positive cases witnessing big surge, the footfalls to cinemas have shrinked phenomenally. Women, families staying off from cinemas have a telling effect on Vakeel Saab’s collections.
The situation is even worse in the US. Whilst the break-even requires about 1.5 million USD, the film is struggling to even touch 1 million USD. Currently, Vakeel Saab has grossed 728K USD so far. It looks difficult to even touch 1 million mark in the US which is quite shocking for a Pawan Kalyan movie.
