With each passing day, the deadly Coronavirus is intensifying in the country. Especially, the second wave is resulting in a huge spike in the COVID-19 positive cases in the Telugu states. Very soon, the respective state governments are again going to implement the 50 percent occupancy rule in theaters to prevent the virus spread.
On the other hand, the severity of the second wave is also crippling the Telugu film industry, with several movies being postponed and shootings cancelled. Also, many senior actors, particularly those who are above 60 years, are refusing to shoot with the pandemic raging around.
According to the latest flash updates, star character artiste Jagapathi Babu is reluctant to shoot for his part in Sharwanand and Siddharth’s Maha Samudram’s ongoing schedule in Vizag due to the huge spike in COVID-19 cases. Jagapathi Babu is 59-years-old and his apprehensions are understandable.
With those who have already taken the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine still testing positive, the situation is getting scarier. And senior Tollywood actors and filmmakers above 60 seem to be following the ‘safety first’ rule quite diligently.
