Vijay Deverakonda Turns International Boxer

Vijay Deverakonda is playing a boxer in his Bollywood debut Liger. Apparently, Puri has written a powerful role for Vijay. Vijay is going to be seen as a boxing champion in the film. It is learnt that Vijay would be seen as a national boxing champion in the film’s first half. Vijay plays kickboxer with a stutter. 

As the story progresses, Vijay transforms into an international boxing player. Puri, who is known for hero’s characterisations and best portrayal of the protagonists, has yet again weaved a heroic role for Liger. The film is aimed to establish Vijay as a Bollywood actor.

Vijay has undergone a huge physical transformation for the role. He had undergone martial arts training in Thailand.

Billed to be a romantic sports drama, Ananya Pandey will be seen as Vijay’s love interest. The film is backed by Karan Johar. The makers are yet to complete the shooting. The first and second wave of Covid has affected the shooting progress of the film. The makers had planned for a Sep 9th release.
