The country is going through a turmoil of the second wave. Many states are imposing restrictions such as night curfew and if things get worse, are not hesitant to go for a lockdown yet again. As soon as the Telangana government announced night curfew, theatres owners in Telangana have called for a shutdown of theatres till May 1st.
Under these critical circumstances, Bollywood hero Salman Khan has taken a bold decision. His upcoming movie ‘Radhe’ will be hitting the box office as per the announced date i.e, on May 13th. A clarification regarding the same was made by the team and it shocked many. Post the lifting restrictions on theatres, from January to March, Bollywood no single big release and Salman’s film will be the first.
Adding a twist, Salman has decided to release the film on digital mediums too based on Pay Per View. This is seriously a huge risk by Salman and crores of Rupees are at stake with ‘Radhe’ release.
But will the situation settle down by then especially in Maharashtra which is the worst affected state of Covid second wave? About 20 days are left and if there is a change in scenario, there might be hope but if they are not, ‘Radhe’ would have no choice rather than to postpone the release.
On that note, ‘Radhe’ trailer will be dropping tomorrow and it’s a feast time for Bhai fans.
