It looks like that time of last year has come again. The filmmakers are slowly falling for the tempting offers from digital platforms. A lot of movies are due for a release in theatres but with the second wave of the corona, they may now have a release directly on digital platforms. As per the sources, Trisha and Nayanathara might choose a direct release option for their next films.
Already, Trisha’s 60th film Paramapadham Vilayattu landed on Disney+Hotstar recently. The film was made available in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam languages. Now, her next film Raangi may also land upon a streaming platform. Raangi is a female-oriented action thriller penned by AR Murugadoss. Lyca Productions produced the film. Saravanan is the director. The buzz in Kollywood suggests that the film may land up on Hotstar.
On the other hand, Nayanathara’s next film Netrikann is also expected to land on Amazon Prime Video. It is a mystery thriller and the official remake of the Korean film Blind. Nayanathara plays a blind woman who sets on taking revenge. Produced by Nayanthara and Vignesh ShivN’s Rowdy Pictures, Milind Rau of Aval fame is the director of Netrikann.
