Popular TRS leader from Nizamabad and the father of actress Keerthy Reddy, Anand Reddy passed away during the early hours this morning due to a heart attack. He was 60. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad.
Reddy was admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad when he reportedly had chest pain. Within a few hours, his health deteriorated and he passed away while undergoing treatment. Anand Reddy is the son of former Nizamabad MP Keshpally Ganga Reddy.
Anand entered into politics while his father was serving as an MP. Initially, he worked as the youth wing president of the Congress Party. In the 2014 elections, Anand contested for the MLA seat from Nizamabad Rural constituency, representing the BJP party. However, he lost those polls. He joined TRS before the 2018 Assembly elections.
Anand lived with two daughters. Keerthy is one of them. She married hero Sumanth in 2004. But the couple divorced and parted ways in 2006.
