In India, Amazon Prime Video is the top OTT platform with the highest viewership. The company has now launched a ‘Mini-TV’ service for users in India. It is not a separate app but is introduced in the Amazon shopping app.
Amazon miniTV is a free and ad-supported video streaming service that provides two video entertainment offerings including miniTV and Prime Video in the country. The users can access the miniTV free of cost. MiniTV tied up with different content creators on Youtube and other independent creators to stream their content on its platform. Amazon has partnered with TVF, Pocket Aces, Ashish Chanchlani, Amit Bhadana, Round2Hell, Harsh Beniwal, Shruti Arjun Anand, Elvish Yadav, Prajakta Koli, and more. The platform also streams the videos from Kabita’s Kitchen, Cook with Nisha, and Gobble.
The company’s motto is to make the shopping app a single destination for customers to shop from millions of products, make payments and watch free entertainment videos.
Right now, the miniTV is available on Amazon’s shopping app for Android phones. Very soon, it will be extended to the iOS app and mobile web.
To access the miniTV, all you need is an account on Amazon and the app must be updated to the latest version. Open the Amazon app, and scroll down a bit to spot miniTV option. Then, tap on the miniTV and you will be redirected to a new section, which there is a lot of content waiting for you!
