Sethupathi and Katrina’s Merry Christmas On Hold?

Published by

As we have reported earlier that Bollywood’s bombshell Katrina Kaif is all set to share screen space with Tamil‘s ace hero, Vijay Sethupathi. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film has been titled Merry Christmas with the duo in the lead roles. This movie will be Vijay’s second Hindi film after Santosh Sivan’s Mumbaikar.

The film is said to be a fast-paced film, with the storyline keeping the viewers captivated. Produced by Ramesh Tautani productions (Tips industries), the makers are confident to entertain the audience with their raw energy and exuberance. Merry Christmas was earlier scheduled to roll in mid-May. But the ongoing critical situation of the second wave in India, the makers have rescheduled the plan.

Taurani said “We will plan only after the lockdown completes. We are planning at a fast pace but we don’t have an exact date as yet. The bleak future and unpredictable days keep everything shut and we can’t even shoot anywhere else as 90 per cent of India is in a state of lockdown. But in the near future, maybe in a week or two, we will decide on the future plan of action.”

So far, the film is expected to roll in Mumbai, followed by Pune and Goa. Vijay Sethupathi said that he was supposed to commence the shoot on April 15, but the devastating condition in Mumbai made them postpone the shoot. The actor will also be seen in Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s upcoming web show with Shahid Kapoor, Raashi Khanna. On the other hand, Katrina Kaif Is busy with the long-awaited Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, Gurmmeet Singh’s Phone Boot, Ali Abbas Zafar’s untitled female superhero film and Manish Sharma’s Tiger 3 in the pipeline.
