Actress Meera Chopra, despite being inactive in films, often make headlines for various reasons. She is an avid social media user and keeps her fans updated with her intriguing titbits in life. Unfortunately, the actress had to share bitter news with her fans today.
Meera said she has lost two of her family members to Covid-19 within a span of ten days. She is grieving right now yet expressed her concern over the feeble medical infrastructure in the country. She also questioned the government in handling the crisis.
“My cousin died in banglore yeaterday. His oxygen dropped and he couldnt get an #ICUBed for 24 hrs. He became extremely breathless and by the time he got a bed, his lungs collapsed. Is this a covid death or a murder?? He died bcoz we are medically handicapped bcoz our government,” tweeted Meera.
“Ive seen 2 #CovidDeaths in my family in last 1 week. To be honest never felt this helpless and useless. Even anger has dissappeared bcoz mind and bidy has become numb. How many more?? Let me just say- #india has gone to the dogs!” reads her second tweet.
She further claimed that she doesn’t want to pay GST if she can’t get any medical help when in need. “I dont want to pay 18% gst when i cant get a bed in the hospital or an oxygen to breathe and live. #removeGST @AmitShah @FinMinIndia @ianuragthakur @PMOIndia @BJP4India.”
COVID-19 has taken the lives of multiple loved ones from some families and just like many out there, actress Meera Chopra also had to go through a concurrent crisis (the pain of losing two family members). Hoping for all these tough times to end soon, we wish people are surrounded by love and care eternally.
