Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas is going great guns in Hollywood and in India. She is a hard-working and self-made woman who is working both sides of the pond successfully. With no background or godfather, Priyanka entered the film industry with many dreams. From her Miss World success to achieving a household name in Bollywood, Priyanka is now the headlining star in Hollywood, making Indians proud with her laurels.
Before exploring her Hollywood dreams, Peecee acted in more than fifty Bollywood movies and the actress revealed the debacles she had faced in her professional life. She said, ‘No one only wins. I have lost many battles. I have done many, many movies that no one has watched. It is what you do after failures that defines you. To me, life is a ladder. It’s never a destination.’
‘We as Asians have always been taught that you’ve got to run faster than everyone to get where you’re going…I wanted to be seen as a mainstream leading lady, and not be boxed into the stereotype I saw a lot of, that required 10 years of work…and finally, I feel like I’ve been able to get to a place where I am doing that. So, I think the responsibility is to constantly push the goalposts, not just for yourself, but for everyone who comes after you. For the next generation of South Asian talent, I want it not to take 10 years for them to get the roles that they want,’ she added.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is striving her best to help vulnerable and needy people in the pandemic by doing her bit. She recently raised Rs 22 crore for COVID-19 relief. The actress is also busy shooting for several projects. She will be seen alongside Keanu Reeves in ‘Matrix 4’ and the shooting was done in Berlin. Priyanka has also wrapped up the shoot of ‘Text For You’, co-starring Sam Heughan. PeeCee has just commenced working on her next series ‘Citadel’.
