Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR featuring NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles has been postponed indefinitely. The second wave of Covid has disrupted Jakkanna’s plans of releasing the film on 13th October, 2021. The latest we hear is that Rajamouli is planning for Summer 2022 release.
As Sankranthi would be too short given that the film of this scale needs proper time for the post-production, Rajamouli would be considering an April 2022 release. It is buzzed that the makers of RRR may lock April 28, 2022 as the film’s new release date. However, this would be made official only after the situation comes to normalcy and the film shootings commence.
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is seen as Sita who is paired up with Ram Charan (Alluri Seetharama Raju) whereas British actress Olivia Morris would be seen as Jennifer, love interest of Jr NTR (Komaram Bheem).
Ajay Devgn is going to be seen in a pivotal role. The film also features international actors Ray Stevenson and Alison Doody. Shriya Saran is also seen in an interesting role in the film. The powerful portrayal of Tarak and Charan in the historic roles is considered to be one of the highlights of RRR.
