Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s comeback film Vakeel Saab had hit the screens on April 9. Within a week of its release, the theatres were forced to shut down due to the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. Thus, the business of the film was affected a lot. It was then premiered on Amazon Prime Video after a couple of weeks.
If the latest buzz is anything to go by, producer Dil Raju is planning to re-release this flick once the theatres reopen. The governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are most likely to ease the lockdown restrictions by the end of this month. Thus, the theatres across the Telugu states may reopen in July.
New films may not release as soon as the theatres reopen due to the 50% occupancy rule. Raju wants to cash in this period by re-releasing Vakeel Saab. To attract the viewers and fans, he is planning to add a few deleted scenes in this re-released version. We have to see if this tactic can pull the audiences to the cinema halls.
