Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu are teaming up for the third time for the upcoming action-drama Akhanda. There are high expectations on this project since Balakrishna is playing a dual role, which includes Aghora character. The film unit initially scheduled the film for a release on May 28th but the pandemic ruined the plan. Now, the makers are planning to bring the film to theatres in September, for Vinayaka Chaturthi.
The film unit is waiting to resume the shoot. With the government and the producers’ council giving a go-ahead call, team Akhanda will resume the film’s shoot in July first week. The majority of the film’s shoot is wrapped up already. With the final schedule that begins next month, the film’s shoot will come to an end. The makers will kick-start the post-production works as soon as they complete the shoot.
Most likely, the film will release on September 10th, on the occasion of Vinayak Chaturthi. September 10th falls on Friday and the festival weekend will become advantageous for the film to mint a maximum revenue at the box office. By that time, the theatres might be operational with full occupancy.
The film also features Pragya Jaiswal and Srikanth in other leads. Thaman is the film’s music director. Miriyala Raveender Reddy is the film’s producer.
