Industry Biggies Pressured Me, Will Contest MAA Polls: Hema

Published by

The election of Movie Artists Association (MAA) is taking many twists and more and more people are willing to contest for the President role. Earlier in the day Jeevitha Rajasekhar announced that she is planning to contest MAA polls and then actor Sai Kumar too expressed the same desire.

Now we have another person joining this race and she is popular character artist Hema Syed. However, Hema had a different plan but it was altered by biggies within the industry.

“Initially I planned to contest for the treasurer role. After Prakash Raj, Vishnu Manchu and Jeevitha Rajasekhar came forward, I decided to quit because they are such big people. Last evening I made it clear regarding the same but the scenario changed after that. I have been receiving a lot of calls from biggies within industry and they were surprised that I withdrew from the polls,” said Hema.

Adding further she said, “A few female supporters said I would be available all the time for industry people and a few pressured me to contest the elections. After taking my well-wishers’ opinions into consideration, I have changed my mind and decided to contest the MAA elections.”

So it’s Vishnu Manchu, Prakash Raj, Jeevitha, Sai Kumar and Hema in the race for MAA President’s role. There are also reports of Sivaji Raja but he is yet to make an official statement.
