Vijay Deverakonda’s younger brother Anand Deverakonda might be planning to break the stereotypes of a Telugu hero. Maybe, that is the reason why he is choosing films that have boy-next-door protagonists. Though his debut venture Dorasani was a failure, Anand scored well with his second film Middle-Class Melodies. He is now coming up with another interesting project titled Pushpaka Vimanam.
The actor revealed that he is playing the role of a maths teacher in this movie. Speaking in an interview with a leading English daily, Anand said, “It’s a family entertainer and I’m playing a government school teacher in it. I’m a maths teacher or ‘lekkala master’ as they say in Telugu. He’s an innocent man who’s always wearing a tucked shirt and trousers and glasses. Somehow his life changes because of an arranged marriage.”
Anand is happy with the output and is excited about its release. “The film has come out really well. There’s a lot of situational comedy and with senior actors like Naresh and Sunil on board, it was a great learning experience for me.”
Directed by Damodar, this film features Saanve Megghana and Geeta Saayini as the female leads. The official release date will be announced soon.
