Superstar Mahesh Babu never actively expressed an interest to make his debut in Bollywood. The actor always mentioned to the media that he is very comfortable in Tollywood. However, there are reports that Mahesh will play Lord Ram in an upcoming Hindi film ‘Ramayana’. The sources close to the film’s producer Madhu Mantena confirm that Mahesh is in touch with the makers.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Media, Madhu Mantena opened up about his highly ambitious project Mahabharatha. Madhu wants to tell the story of Mahabharatha from Draupadi’s point of view. Deepika Padukone agreed to be a part of the project to play Draupadi. However, he clarified that the project will hit the floors only after the completion of Ramayana.
When the producer was asked if Mahesh Babu, Deepika Padukone, and Hrithik Roshan are a part of Ramayana, he neither agreed nor denied. Madhu smiled and told that the film’s casting announcement will be made around Diwali. “The cast of Ramayana will be biggest ever in the history of Indian cinema. It will be very exciting,” he shared, asking everyone to wait until Diwali this year.
