Although she was away from films for more than three years and made her comeback in Tollywood after a long time, the Telugu audiences have accepted Shruti Haasan with open arms and have given her two back-to-back hits this year. She was also crowned with the ‘Hyderabad Times Most Desirable Woman’ title this year. Overwhelmed with the love of Telugu people, Shruti says it is the industry where she belonged.
In a recent interview with The Times of India, Shruti said that she is delighted to back in Tollywood. She further stated, “I took time off to reconnect with my music and focus on writing and performing more. It was a conscious break that I had taken. But there was never a doubt that I will return to Telugu cinema, some people had doubts but I never did. I knew that this is an industry where I’ve always belonged.”
“I love being accepted into a culture where I didn’t grow up in, I’ve only known the industry through my father. Telugu cinema and its audience is a home that was gifted to me by destiny. I always knew I’d come back and it would’ve been sooner had it not been for the pandemic,” added the Krack actress.
Shruti feels thrilled to work with heroes like Ravi Teja, Pawan Kalyan, and Prabhas, after making her comeback in the industry. She is currently acting in Prabhas’ Salaar, which is being directed by Prashanth Neel.
