Fight masters Ram, Lakshman are busy action choreographers in the industry. With a slew of films in their hand, it becomes quite tough for the stunt directors duo to manage the films. At times, they have to let go several films owing to the dates clash.
Ram and Lakshman have admitted that they were even part of RRR’s interval action block and worked for the interval action sequence for about 10 days. It was a 40-day-long schedule, but the schedule was said to be postponed when Ram Charan got injured. After that, the fight masters duo couldn’t allocate such long dates for RRR again. They had to gently opt out of the project due to other prior commitments.
“Rajamouli never likes if any technician has a lack of dates for his film. Not that we hadn’t worked with him before, we did work with him for many films including his debut film (Student No.1) to Vikramarkudu. He became the No.1 director in the country and made Telugus proud. The Telugu technicians are in the spotlight, all thanks to Rajamouli. Unfortunately, we couldn’t work for RRR,” said Ram and Lakshman. They added that it was conscious decision to not get lock in a single big-budget film.
When asked about why the duo had walked out of Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu’s most-anticipated Akhanda, Ram and Lakshman tender sorry to Boyapati and Balayya. “We had composed two fights including the teaser fight. But again, Akhanda has over 40 days of action schedule. The film’s second half has loads of action scenes.
Since we have Acharya climax fight and Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata Dubai action sequence, it is not possible for us to move to Akhanda’s 40 days action schedule. It is not correct for us to expect them to fight. Boyapati garu and producer wanted us, but we sincerely want to say sorry as they were hurt because of us. We had no option but to move,” explained Ram and Lakshman.
