By this time, everyone might be aware of the Twitter spat between actors Ajay Devgn and Sudeep. While Sudeep stated that Hindi is no more the national language of our country, Ajay made a counter-attack by saying that Hindi will always remain the national language of India.
Meanwhile, a section of people opined that Ajay came up with this controversy aka publicity stunt to get openings for his latest release Runway 34, which was carrying a low buzz before the release.
If that was the case, then Ajay’s plan bombed to the core because Runway 34 got disastrous collections on day one at the box office. The film managed to mint only Rs. 3 crores nett. on the first day.
On the flip side, Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti 2 collected two times more than Runway 34 even with a flop talk. The same is the case with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya which collected Rs. 30 gross worldwide on Friday.
This means people didn’t show a cent of interest in watching his new outing. Meanwhile, KGF 2 collected a nett. of Rs. 4 crores on Friday.
In this way, Ajay’s film was beaten by Sudeep’s mother-tongue movie and indirectly proved the Eega actor’s statement right.
