Finally, Bollywood’s dream of grabbing the top chair from a non-Hindi non-Bollywood film has come true. In quite an unexpected manner, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan has stunned the audience and the Siddharth Anand directorial has now touched a collection of ₹500 crores gross in India alone. And here’s the next record it is going to crack.
In its third-week run at the box office, Pathaan is surprising the trade pundits as it clocked numbers like ₹4.10 crore on Monday and ₹3.5 Cr on Wednesday. That took the total collection of the Hindi version of the film along to ₹485+ crores in the Indian market. With this Friday’s release Shehzada not looking like a hopeful film, surely that will give more advantage to Pathaan for two more weeks easily. Currently, Baahubali 2 is the highest-grossing Hindi film with almost ₹510+ crores gross collection made.
In a week more run, surely Pathaan will be breaking Baahubali’s records and that is, more easy if the competition around is weak. On the other hand, Pathaan is also the first Hindi film to enter the mighty ₹500+ crores club if the collection from Telugu and Hindi versions is added. Even in Telugu states and Tamilnadu, Pathaan regional version is doing good compared to newly released Telugu movies.
