KCR to campaign in wheelchair?

Former CM and BRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao is readying to evoke sympathy from the voters by campaigning in a wheelchair. With the Parliament elections drawing near, KCR is targeting to win the maximum number of seats possible. He is worried that the party will have to face a threatening situation if the upcoming LS polls do not fetch some seats to the party.

Meanwhile, many of the BRS legislators are gradually drifting away from the party and getting in touch with other parties, given the defeat in the recently-concluded Assembly election results. It is learnt that five BRS MLAs had already contacted Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

By moving in the wheelchair, KCR wants to send a strong message that the party matters more than his health and at the same time, evoke sympathy both from the voters and the party cadre. It may be recalled that KCR had suffered a fracture in his hip after tripping on his lungi in the bathroom at his farmhouse in Erravelli, just on the second day after the Assembly election results were declared.

It is learnt that the doctors advised KCR to take rest for a few weeks to recover from the injury. He is just able to stand up with support and take a few steps. Sources said that he needs some more weeks to recover completely so as to make whirlwind tours. However, KCR is worried that the general elections would be over completely by that time. Hence, he has decided to visit only two constituencies every day. According to the buzz, he is already discussing the feasibility of his plans with his party leaders at his farmhouse.

On Feb. 1, KCR would take oath as an MLA and for this too, he is likely to shift to the venue in a wheelchair.
