With the Telugu states going to polls in under 6 weeks, everyone is interested in the pre-poll surveys and opinion polls to get an idea of the plausible polling trends in AP and Telangana. One such survey report from a noted national media outlet, India Today has predicted a clear positive swing for the TDP+ alliance in Andhra Pradesh.
According to India Today’s Mood Of The Nation survey which tracks the polling trends all across India, the TDP+ alliance is in a very comfortable position in Andhra Pradesh.
According to their survey report, the TDP+ alliance will comfortably win 17 MP seats in AP while the ruling party YSR Congress which won 22 seats in 2019 will have to settle for nearly 1/3rd of the seats as it is projected to win just 8 seats. This survey suggests that the alliance is twice as powerful as YSRCP in AP, as far as the Lok Sabha election results go. This could be a major slip up for YCP in case it turns out to be true.
Coming to Telangana, the survey anticipates that Congress would win 10 MP seats while BRS and BJP will settle for 3 each, with MIM winning 1.
