There’s a fine line in politics that differentiates political criticism from personal vendetta. While Pawan Kalyan stayed well within the line while speaking about Mudragada Padmanabham’s daughter Kranthi Bharathi last evening, Mudragada himself stooped to a new low while reacting to Pawan’s statement.
Earlier, Pawan introduced Kranthi to the public and said he doesn’t want to spur differences in the Mudragada family and hence, he would formally bring her into the party only after convincing Padmanabham. He even promised an electoral ticket to Kranthi in the next election. Pawan clearly mentioned that he respects Mudragada Padmanabham despite the verbal attack from the latter.
But Mudragada wasn’t as classy when it came to revering back to Pawan’s humble and thoughtful gesture.
“Pawan Kalyan brought my daughter onto the roads and spoke about my family. Why doesn’t he bring his first wife, second wife, and third wife onto the roads and speak about them? Why doesn’t he bring out his brother’s daughter who got caught in drug case?” Mudragada Padmanabham reverted to Pawan’s statement.
The stark difference is that Pawan maintained humility and said he would formally procure the services of Kranthi at Janasena only after speaking with Padmanabham and convincing him. This was a mature gesture and a show of respect from the JSP chief. Instead of appreciating such a humble statement, Mudragada went on about the females in Pawan’s family. This hate speech by Mudragada goes beyond party lines and destroys his own reputation if anything, remarked a seasoned observer.
