“This ocean holds a zillion secrets. A few of the mysteries are at the bottom of the sea. They are waiting for the arrival of the ONE,” the trailer of Kingston says at the outset. Actor GV Prakash Kumar and director Kamal Prakash unite for a sea-based fantasy adventure film with loads of action and doses of horror. This is India’s first-of-its-kind tryst with the rare genre.
To be released on March 7th in theatres, Kingston will be released by Maheswara Reddy Mooli of Ganga Entertainments in Telugu.
Co-starring Dhivyabharathi and Chetan, Kingston is produced jointly by GV and Umesh KR Bansal. The action in the middle of the sea looks authentic in every respect. What happens when the greed of a hegemon goes out of control? A saviour needs to arise. “Instead of dying for some random fellow, it is better to die for the village,” GV’s protagonist says.
The story includes elements of adventure and fantasy, with a strong reliance on extensive visual effects (VFX) to bring its world to life. Additionally, the action scenes are crafted with a sense of ambition; they are grand, intense, and innovative in execution. The film is visually striking and delivers an action-packed experience, prioritizing spectacle and excitement.
