The severe backlash is directed at the series and Rohit Shetty himself, the creator-director of ‘The Indian Police Force.’ Fans collectively believe Shetty has lost the goodwill he built up over the years with his successful cop movies like the Singham series, ‘Simmba,’ and ‘Sooryavanshi.’
Critics argue Rohit Shetty has lost his touch and should take a break from making cop movies, popularly known as the CopVerse. Some consider ‘The Indian Police Force as the beginning of Shetty’s downfall, and many have dubbed it his worst creation to date, surpassing even the disappointment of his 2022 film ‘Cirkus.’
The series is set in the Cop Universe and is produced by Shetty under the banner of Rohit Shetty Picturez and Reliance Entertainment. It stars Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Vivek Oberoi.
