SS Rajamouli is the pride of Indian cinema, and ever since he made Baahubali, his fame has crossed boundaries. He is currently one of the most successful pan-world directors of this generation. Hence, to shed light on the life and cinematic journey of this mastermind, Netflix decided to drop a biographical documentary.
Presented by Anupama Chopra under Film Companion Studios and in association with Applause Entertainment, a documentary has been shot and it will delve into multiple aspects of Rajamouli’s life. The documentary will also feature insights on Rajamouli from different celebrities.
It features insights from James Cameron, Joe Russo, Karan Johar, Jr NTR, Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Ram Charan, and others. The documentary also highlights Rajamouli’s influence on Indian and international cinema with interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
This project is part of Netflix’s Modern Masters doc series on Indian creatives. The other documentaries that Netflix will bring to audiences this year are Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous, the cricket documentary The Greatest Rivalry—India vs. Pakistan, and the Oscar-winning To Kill a Tiger.
