US: Indian-American Student Found Dead, Fourth In Two Weeks!

An Indian-American student Sameer Kamath was found dead in a nature preserve. Sameer was a doctorial candidate at Indiana’s Purdue University.

The 23-year-old completed his master’s degree in Mechanical engineering in August 2023 and held a US citizenship. He was set to complete his doctoral program in 2025.

This is the fifth incident in one year and the fourth incident in less than two weeks. Earlier, another student from Purdue University, Neel Acharya was found dead and his body was found on the campus grounds. Neel was last seen by an Uber driver who dropped him off at the campus.

Last week, 19-year-old Shreyas Reddy was found dead in Ohio. Vivek Saini who was pursuing his MBA in Georgia’s Lithonia died on January 16 after he was attacked by a homeless man.

These incidents have shocked the Indian student community in the United States.
