New York Subway Shooting: A Teenage Girl Killed, Five Injured

Shots were fired on the uptown 4 platform at the Mount Eden station in the Bronx, New York.

The violence broke out after a fight started on a train car and it continued onto the platform. A teenager was killed and five others were injured in the shooting at 4: 45pm.

The teenage girl was reportedly shot in the face. She died after being taken to St. Barnabas Hospital. Another teen was shot in the leg. All the victims appeared to be between the ages of 2 and 17.

The suspects fled on foot and there were multiple shooters, according to the reports. The NYPD police are asking the public to avoid the area of Jerome Avenue between Inwood Avenue and Townsend Avenue.
