In a welcome development to the beleaguered film and exhibition business, the Telangana is going to open theatres from tomorrow with 100 percent seating.
Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has stepped in to end the deadlock between the exhibitors and film producers.
With Talasani’s assurance, the exhibitors have given up their strike and decided to open the cinemas from tomorrow.
The exhibitors are going to screen the old movies in cinemas. The new movies will be screened from 23rd July. Satyadev-starrer Thimmarusu is all set to hit the screens from 30th July.
Meanwhile, theatres in AP continue to shut down. AP state government is yet to give its nod to open the cinemas for public screening.
