After L Ramana quit Telangana TDP president post and went on to join the ruling party TRS, the TDP high command has been working on finalizing the new T-TDP president. A couple of names including that of the party senior leader Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy were in considering for the president post.
Incidentally, TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu appointed a new T-TDP president earlier today.
Naidu appointed TDP senior politician Bakkani Narasimhulu as the president of the party’s Telangana wing.
Narasimhulu, who hails from Madiga community served as an MLA from Shadnagar between 1994-99. He took charge as Telangana TDP president earlier today.
Following his appointment as TDP Telangana wing chief, Narasimhulu formally met with TDP scion Nara Lokesh. The latter advised him to fight for the common public in Telangana and rejuvenate the party cadre in the state.
It is heard that Ravula Chandrasekhar who was one of the front-runners for the T-TDP president post opted out, citing personal reasons. The party hierarchy then decided to appoint Bakkina Narasimhulu.
