Actress Navneet Kaur Rana is currently the MP of Amaravati, Maharashtra. Despite being first timer, Navneet’s performance as MP in Lok Sabha has been above par. On various issues, she had asked many questions and on Wednesday she was given the mic to talk on the amendments made to the OBC bill brought by the Modi government.
In her speech Navneeth Kaur targeted the Shiv Sena government of Maharashtra and criticised for its anti-public policies. However Navneet’s time was up and the speaker was asking her to conclude her speech at the earliest. YCP MP Midhun Reddy was seating on the Speaker’s chair as Om Birla was not available.
As Midhun Reddy was asking Navneet to wrap up speech immediately, she made a request to him in Telugu. “Sir Meeru Telugu Valle… Memu Telugu Valle… Meeru Chairlo Kurchunnaru Kabbati Naku Okka Minute Ivvandi,” said Navneet in Telugu. MPs who were sitting next to Navneet were surprised to see her speak in Telugu while speaker Midhun just smiled at her request.
From another row, another MP who was not seen the video whispered something and to this Navneet replied that “I’m from Maharashtra and proud of Maharashtra. I’m half part of Andhra and Telangana also madam.”
A lighter moment and Navneet’s gratitude for the Telugu states is commendable.
