Paadayatra politics have worked well in the Telugu states. From late YSR to TDP chief Chandrababu to YS Jagan, they all have walked thousands of kilometres and eventually they went on to chair the Chief Minister seat.
But such politics are less influential and less frequent in Telangana yet before the 2023 Assembly elections we are going to witness a couple of them. Chiefs of Telangana BJP and Congress have already planned one and we are also hearing one from YSRTP chief YS Sharmila.
Kick-starting this trend, Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay has confirmed his Paadayatra and it will begin from 24th of this month. Bandi visited Bhagya Lakshmi temple at Charminar this morning and offered special prayers. Post this visit, Bandi has confirmed the name of his Paadayatra and it is called ‘Praja Sangrama Yatra.’
The Karimnagar MP claims that his walk feat is against the unruly, dynasty and corrupt government led by CM KCR. The road map for this marathon is also finalised and Bandi is expected to cover all the 119 Assembly segments in Telangana.
