The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan has taken the implementation of Mana Badi and Nadu-Nedu schemes prestigiously.
As a part of these schemes, the government of Andhra Pradesh is renovating several government schools across the state. Also, the medium of education has been changed from Telugu to English.
In his recent meeting, Jagan stated that English movies will be played in government schools across Andhra Pradesh to held students improve their command over English language.
“The quality of education in government schools has been amped up by a considerable scale. Our aim is to provide quality education to economically weaker sections. The curriculum and academic standards at government schools in Andhra Pradesh will be on par with private schools,” he said.
Adding further, Jagan said the strength in government schools rose from 37 lakh in 2020-2021 to 43.43 lakh in 2021-2022.
Jagan hopes that the updated infrastructure and change in education system will encourage many more students and their parents to look towards government schools.
The state government has allocated a total of Rs 24,624 crores for the education department. The total estimated cost for the implementation of Nadu-Nedu program is said to be around Rs 12,000 crores.
