Telangana Giving More To Nation Than What It Gets: Harish

Published by

In a surprise Telangana finance minister Harish Rao has hosted a press meet and talked in details of the state’s financial status, current political scenario and also hit back at Union Minister Kishan Reddy.

“Whatever Kishan Reddy has commented in his ‘Praja Ashirvada Yatra’ are utter lies. In the last seven years, Telangana has contributed the most than any other state in the country rather than the other way. The nation’s growth rate is something around seven percent whereas Telangana’s is three times more of the nation’s. This is mainly due to the policies taken by our CM KCR led TRS government,” said Harish.

On the tax collection, Harish added that Telangana tax revenues shoot up to Rs 11.52 percent and in the last six years, it has gone up by 90 percent. Criticising the BJP government in New Delhi, Harish said, “In terms of GDP and other aspects, Bangladesh has surpassed us which is shocking. Who is responsible for this? Can PM Modi led BJP government dare to claim this? BJP escapes when it comes speaking out the truth but TRS government is striving very hard for the development. Even during the pandemic and lockdown, the state has posted positive growth.”

On the per capita income, Harish stated that in the last six years, Telangana’s per capita income posted a growth rate of 48.7 percent and currently stands at Rs 2,37,632 which is 1.84 times higher than the nation’s.

Reiterating the TRS government’s stand on controversial Farm Laws, Harish Rao said, the Modi led government of India should withdraw the laws on which farmers have serious concerns. This is surprising from Harish as TRS government and KCR went silent on Farm Laws but Harish opened up for the first time and his views are against.
