Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy’s comments against T-PCC leadership turned controversial as he termed them as ‘Taliban orders.’ Going into details a couple of Congress leaders have attended the YSR Tribute Meet hosted by YS Vijayamma.
Invitations were sent to many Telangana Congress leaders but only a few attended and among them was Komatireddy. In order to prevent leaders from attending YSR Tribute Meet, T-PCC advised all the leaders who received invitations to stay out of it at the last minute.
Despite the orders, Komatireddy made it to YSR Tribute Meet and speaking at the venue he said, “I have received an invitation three days ago and I gave word to my Vadinamma (sister-in-law) Vijayamma that I will attend it. But I was informed about three hours prior to the meeting and why I should skip the event. Are we living in Taliban’s rule,” questioned Komatireddy.
Reacting to these controversial comments, Campaign Committee Chairman Madhuyashki Goud made interesting comments. “YSR is a former Congress CM and to pay homage to him, we have Gandhi Bhavan. When a son (YS Jagan) could not make it to the event, how come it would be a Tribute Meet?” questioned Madhuyashki.
Suspecting a political conspiracy, “if Sharmila and Jagan are in power in Telangana and Andhra respectively and if they propose to reunite Telugu states, will Komatireddy support them?” asked the former Nizamabad MP.
Taking pot-shots at Komatireddy, Madhuyashki added that people who want to walk with Sharmila, can freely go out but they should not backstab Congress.
This angle of Jagan and Sharmila reuniting the Telugu states was never explored. Probably Madhuyashki Goud brought up a new point and both Congress and TRS may use this for their political benefit.
