Modi Tops The Approval Ratings Among 13 Global Leaders

In a survey conducted by US-based global leader approval tracker Morning Consult, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s approval ratings were the highest among 13 other world leaders, as of September 2.

This survey is conducted on a weekly basis. Modi remained in the top position last week as well. With a 70% approval rate, he is ahead of Mexican president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, Italy’s Prime Minister Mario Draghi, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, US President Joe Biden, Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and UK’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Modi also has the lowest disapproval rating among adults. His disapproval rating is just 25%. Japan’s Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga has topped the disapproval ratings with 64%.

Morning Consult’s proprietary platform Political Intelligence provides real-time data on elections, elected officials, and voting issues. Morning Consult conducts more than 11000 daily interviews across the world for leadership approval ratings.

The data of the survey is based on a week’s average of all adults in a particular country with a margin of error of between +/- 1-3%.

Surveys in each country are weighted by various factors like age, gender, and region. In a few countries, even education breakdowns are also used to weigh the surveys.
