YSRC party MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju said that he joined the party only after the party leaders pleaded him. Responding to the comments made by the party MLA Prasada Raju, he said that he was speaking to the media only because he was not being allowed to meet YSRC party president and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Raju reminded that it was because he contested that the YCP won the constituency. He claimed that people in 10 Assembly constituencies of his Parliamentary constituency voted for the MLAs seeing him. Indirectly Raju feels that his image is bigger than Jagan’s mania in Narsapuram Constituency during 2019 elections.
He fumed at his own party leadership and said there were many irregularities in the ‘Pedalandriki Illu’ scheme. “While the state government is trying to buy lands and distribute the same to the poor, some people are taking commissions. I opposed sale of TTD lands, blackmarketing of sand before the media and this annoyed some YCP leaders but as I was not given time to speak to the CM, I had to open up before the media,” he said,
Taking potshots at the YCP, he said that the order in their party was to make the MLA of the respective community speak before the media. My friend and Narsapuram MLA Prasada Raju was asked to remark that I had been made the Parliamentary Committee chairman only because of him. He also criticised me for not touring in the constituency for the last three months.
He pointed out that a majority of the posts in the YCP government were given to a specific community and that it was an open secret. He appealed to the leaders not to attribute caste to politics and bring differences with others in his community.
