On Sunday AP’s I & PR minister Perni Nani held a press meet and criticised Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan in response to the latter’s speech at ‘Republic’ movie pre-release event. However throughout the press meet Nani addressed Pawan with ‘Ekavachanam’ and raked the caste row claiming that he and Pawan belong to the same community and so used ‘PK gadu’ often.
Perni Nani’s comments did not go down well with the Kapu community and many individuals posted their opinion on YouTube and lashed out at the minister. “Pawan Kalyan spoke about issues related to the film industry whereas Perni Nani made caste comments. What is the necessity to drag caste in this?” questioned a few.
Some asked what Perni Nani has done to the Kapu community? “What happened to Kapu reservations? Is he shouldering the responsibility of the entire community? You betrayed our community by falling for an MLA seat and minister’s role. You have no right to address Kapus as ‘Kapu Na Kodukulu.’ If you are not a minister, no one would even care about you,” said a few.
Other YSRCP ministers reacted harshly at Pawan but it’s Nani who invoked this caste equation in his comments. Seems like, Nani found himself on the wrong foot and invited trouble on his own.
