Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has reached Rajahmundry this morning to take part in the ‘Sramadanam’ on AP roads. However, the venues were changed at the last minute. Pawan will be doing ‘Sramadanam’ at Hukumpeta – Balajipeta road and then will address the public at Hukumpeta.
But ahead of Pawan’s visit, the YCP government has deployed huge police personnel to create trouble. Initially the police denied permission for the public meeting after ‘Sramadanam’ citing Covid-19 riles. Barricades were put in place to block Pawan Kalyan fans and Jana Sena supporters. Every vehicle towards this place is being thoroughly checked by the police.
Jana Sena party fumed over this and Nadella Manohar questioned the YCP government’s double standards. “CM Jagan is touring Vijayawada. When no Covid-19 rules are applicable to CM’s tour, then why are hurdles being created for Pawan Kalyan’s visit?” asked Manohar.
Rajahmundry ASP has reacted to Jana Sena party’s allegations and rubbed them off. “As per regular protocols we are checking every vehicle and we haven’t stopped anyone who is reaching Hukumpeta. The event will go as per the party (Jana Sena) plan,” said ASP Latha Madhuri.
Despite the odds, Pawan fans are escorting his convoy and were seen in large numbers.
