Former chief secretary of AP IYR Krishna Rao came down heavily on AP CM YS Jagan and added that Jagan is only bothered about his image and is least bothered about the financial status of the state.
IYR, who happens to be BJP leader, added that the AP’s financial position is highly critical and in the coming days, people and government employees will have to wait for a longer period to get pensions and salaries respectively.
“No state in the country is witnessing a severe crunch of funds and recently when the AP government called for a meeting with contractors on housing scheme, the RDO requested them to loan cement and raw materials. Once the government has sufficient funds, it would pay the contractors,” stated IYR.
The ex-CS also expressed his concerns on facilities at government hospitals. “When AP was bifurcated, the state had debts of Rs 86,000 crore and after seven years, they have piled up to Rs 7 Lakh crore. Welfare and development need to be balanced but it appears that the government is not doing any development. Jagan is also worried about his image and so he is putting AP interests at stake. Such acts would have dire consequences and it’s not a good sign,” said IYR.
Being a senior most bureaucrat, IYR Krishna Rao had ample knowledge of AP’s position and his observations are the need of the hour.
