BJP candidate for Huzurabad bypoll Etala Rajender said he would dedicate his victory to the people of the constituency for having rejected bags of currency, trucks of liquor and KCR’s arrogance. Addressing the media for the first time after victory in the Huzurabad bypoll, he thanked people for their support to him.
KCR does not believe in people. He believes in three things, Etala said hinting at liquor, money and misuse of power. But people reposed faith in dharma and democracy, he said.
The BJP leader said that he was grateful to the people for having voted to him and it would fall short even if he tried to peel his skin and get footwear cobbled for the voters.
In the last 6 months, the TRS leaders had stooped to abysmal levels and tried to threaten and blackmail even outsourced employees, he lamented and said that he was much pained to see the ruling party and official machinery making a mockery of democracy. Police officials aided transport of currency and its distribution among the voters. This is a wrong precedent and it would be better if this practice stops, Etala said.
He praised the people for observing restraint and taking a proper decision at the right time to vote for him.
The TRS tried to divide people on the basis of caste and community but the people in the constituency voted for me as I do not belong to any caste or community, he claimed.
He demanded that Dalit Bandhu should be implemented and its benefit should reach all the beneficiaries in Huzurabad and other places across the state. He also demanded completion of 2BHK houses and distribution of the same at the earliest.
The TRS government had not issued at least one job notification, despite bifurcation of the state done for the cause of Neellu Nidhulu and Niyamakalu, he lamented and demanded that the unemployment dole of Rs 3,016 should be released immediately.
He promised to continue to serve the people and work as a Telangana activist in the future too.
He thanked the BJP cadre and party brass for their cooperation during the campaigning for the bypoll.
