The Andhra Pradesh High Court has made critical comments on the state’s development and opined that the progress has stopped. The High Court is undertaking the ‘Three Capitals’ issue on a daily basis and Justice Prashanth Kumar Mishra led three bench justices heard the petitions of decentralised governance and abrogation of CRDA.
Surprisingly the state government’s advocate Dushyanth Dawe requested for removal of Justice Somayajulu and Justice Satyanarayana Murthy from the three bench of justice. Defending their request, advocate Dushyanth claimed that both the judges Somayajulu and Satyanarayana Murthy have lands in Amaravati.
Declining the request of the state government, the High Court questioned why the government did not raise any objections previously? Then the High Court commented that the development is nowhere to be seen in Andhra Pradesh. This comment is an indirect dig at the YCP government amidst the report of debts and revenue deficit soaring.
Nearly 90 petitions were filed against ‘Three Capitals.’ Senior advocate Shyam Diwaan is arguing on behalf of Amaravati farmers in the High Court.
