A few months back, Telangana CM KCR inaugurated the new Collector office in Siddipet. IAS officer Venkatrami Reddy who took charge, touched the feet of CM KCR to take the blessings. This picture went viral while oppositions slammed the IAS officer for his act.
And ever since the MLC notification was out, strong buzz from TRS was that Venkatrami Reddy would quit his public servant job and step into public life. TRS insiders guessed that he would get the MLC ticket. Making the buzz true, Venkatrami Reddy took Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) and sent his resignation letter to Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar. In no time, Venkatrami Reddy’s resignation was accepted by the TRS government.
Speaking on the occasion, Venkatrami Reddy said, “For the past two and half decades have worked in various departments of the government” and then he went full praise of CM KCR.
“Under CM KCR’s leadership, the state has witnessed immense progress and I just wanted to be part of this amazing journey. So I quit my job and entering the public life. I will work as per the directions of CM KCR,” said Venkatrami Reddy.
Tomorrow happens to be the last day for filing the nominations and KCR invited Gutta Sukender Reddy, Padi Kaushik Reddy, Kotireddy, T Ravindra Rao, E Srinivas, Kadiyam Srihari and Akula Lalitha to Pragathi Bhavan. From the media reports we hear that Venkatrami Reddy also received a call from Pragathi Bhavan and he will be joining TRS and straight away take the B-form from KCR for the MLC seat.
