The YSRCP swept almost all the Municipal Corporations and Nagar Panchayats across the state and at Kuppam, the ruling party shocked TDP by defeating in its fort. Just a day after the results of mini polls, the Assembly sessions resumed.
Ahead of the sessions the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) met and discussed the agenda. During then Jagan poked fun at TDP and told Atchannaidu that he is dying to see Chandrababu in the Assembly. “After the Kuppam municipal elections, I’m eagerly waiting to see Chandrababu. Get him to the Assembly,” said CM Jagan in a satirical manner.
Countering this Atchannaidu said winning and losing is a common phenomenon in elections. “Definitely Chandrababu will attend the Assembly sessions. Elections and its results are not necessary in the BAC meeting,” hit back Atchannaidu.
Then the TDP leader demanded Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitharam to hold the sessions for 15 days. CM Jagan intervened in this and suggested Speaker Tammineni to extend the sessions.
Jagan’s satire at TDP should have been avoided. Elections do come and go and people are the ultimate decision makers. Today’s ruling party may flip on the other side in the next term.
Coming to the Assembly sessions, we shall witness heated debates, counters and punch dialogues in the coming days.
