US President Trump and his administration is hell bent against China. In the Indian Army and Chinese PLA clashes, US backed India and the US intelligence sources claimed that China had ordered for attack on Indian troops at Galwan valley.
Although the border tensions between India and China have reduced a bit, the US is suspecting a possible attack in the future. Accordingly the US has ordered its military to shift from Europe to other places just in case if a war arises. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has confirmed this.
Speaking in Brussels Forum virtually Pompeo said, “The actions of the ruling Chinese Communist Party meant there were threats to India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and the South China Sea challenge. We are going to make sure the US military is postured appropriately to meet the challenges.”
Earlier Pompeo called Chinese Communist Party as ‘Rogue Actor’ and the recent actions are part of the behaviour of the ruling party in Beijing. He further stated the China is militarising the South China Sea and illegally claiming more territory there, threatening vital sea lanes.
These comments indirectly hint that the US would stand by India to counter China, if it starts an unannounced war as there are high chances of China doing so.
