The controversial Farm Laws have been official withdrawn by the BJP led NDA government. The winter sessions of Parliament have commenced on Monday and straight away Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar tabled the Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021 in Lok Sabha.
The Farm Laws Repeal Bill was passed in Lok Sabha unopposed and Speaker Om Birla announced the same. However, chaotic incidents took place in Lok Sabha. Opposition leaders raised slogans against the NDA government while the union minister table the Farm Laws Repeal Bill.
After passing the repeal bill, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla adjourned the house till 2 PM.
In his first reaction on withdrawal of Farm Laws, Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait added this is a tribute to 750 farmers who have died protesting. “This (Farm Laws Repeal Bill) is a tribute to all 750 farmers who lost their lives during the agitation. The protest will continue as other issues including MSP are still pending,” added Rakesh Tikait.
The PM Modi government is yet to take a call on MSP and there is a suspense whether it would announce related to MSP and other pending issues of farmers in the current sessions.
